Bathroom Flooring

Scope: The project involved converting existing tiles in the bathrooms and washrooms of hotel rooms on the Aegean coast, which were causing slipperiness in wet areas, into a non-slip epoxy floor coating system without demolition or demolition.

Challenge: The existing tile flooring posed a significant risk of slipperiness, especially when wet; the facility wanted to address this safety issue while also achieving a more modern look, requesting a non-destructive solution. The work was carried out within a very tight schedule, requiring time to meet the season opening deadline, in a busy environment where three different construction companies were working simultaneously – an environment not ideal for a specialized floor coating application. To meet the deadline, the team worked double shifts, day and night.

Solution: The Neg Kimya team implemented a non-slip epoxy floor coating system that could be applied directly onto the existing tile surface without damaging it. Despite the heavy construction traffic on site, the process was completed without interruption thanks to efficient work planning and shift arrangements.

Result: 500 m² bathroom and washroom area received its new non-slip and modern-looking flooring in just 4 days, before the start of the season.
