MUNICIPAL CANAL & SEA REMEDIATION PROJECT

Scope: Biological remediation of a municipal canal system totaling 2,000 meters in length, 10 meters in width, with a water depth of 50 centimeters. All canals drain directly into the sea.

Challenge: Heavy algae buildup in the canals combined with wastewater entering the system was continuously carrying pollution into the sea. This resulted in cloudy, contaminated seawater, along with strong odor and heavy fly presence throughout the surrounding area — negatively affecting both public health and the usability of the region.

Solution: The Neg Kimya team applied Zero Oil, a 100% organic microorganism-based product, by adding a small amount into a 5-ton water tank and flushing the canal system with aerated water. Over the 14-day project period, treatment was only required on Days 1, 2, and 8 — delivering results without requiring the canals to be shut down for an extended period.

Result: Sea cloudiness and pollution were resolved within the first 1 hour, odor within 18 hours, fly presence within 24 hours, and algae buildup within 7 days. For lasting results, weekly maintenance treatment is recommended.
